Liquid Mow Bermuda Program – North Texas
Monthly Visits · Growth-Managed Fertility & Weed Control
Our Liquid Mow Bermuda Program keeps North Texas lawns dense, healthy, and beautifully short all season long — without the constant mowing. Designed for Fort Worth, Burleson, Aledo, and surrounding areas, this program combines liquid fertility, growth regulation, and pest/disease control for greener, tighter, and easier-to-maintain Bermuda turf.
This is the same program Aaron Shehan, Practical Agronomist, applies to his own lawn. It’s built specifically for Bermuda lawns mowed at 1.5 inches or shorter.
New Customer Start
New customers begin with a Post-Emergent Weed Cleanup to eliminate existing weeds before transitioning into the regular Liquid Mow cycle. Once the lawn is clean, monthly liquid applications maintain dense, healthy turf while preventing new weeds from germinating.

The Benefits Our Liquid Mow Service Offers
- Less Mowing: Enjoy more free time with a 50% reduction in your lawn's mowing needs.
- Drought Resilience: Deeper roots mean a lawn that's more robust and drought-tolerant, keeping it green and vibrant.
- Cost Efficiency: Our clients typically enjoy about a 15% savings on their lawn maintenance bills thanks to the reduced need for mowing services.
- No Watering Needed: The application does not require watering in, making it convenient and easy to use.
- Improved Turf Density: By enhancing lateral growth, liquid mowing helps create a more dense and lush turf.
- Root Development: The treatment stunts top growth while driving roots deeper, promoting a healthier lawn.
- Better Irrigation Efficiency: Improved root systems lead to better absorption of water, making your irrigation more effective.

-
April – Ammonium Sulfate + Sulfate of Potash + North Texas MicroPak + Propiconazole + Podium (Growth Regulator): Early growth regulation begins. Controls disease, reduces mowing, and keeps color deep and even.
-
May – Ammonium Sulfate + Sulfate of Potash + North Texas MicroPak + Azoxystrobin + Podium: Seasonal fungicide protection and steady growth regulation for dense, uniform turf.

June – Ammonium Sulfate + Sulfate of Potash + North Texas MicroPak + Podium + Humic Acid: Enhances soil health and nutrient efficiency during heat stress; maintains tight, low canopy.
-
July – Ammonium Sulfate + Sulfate of Potash + North Texas MicroPak + Podium + Humic Acid: Continued growth regulation for mowing control and bluestem seed-head suppression, common in North Texas neighborhoods.
-
August – Ammonium Sulfate + Sulfate of Potash + North Texas MicroPak + Podium + Merit + Bifenthrin: Final insect protection before fall — controls grubs, surface insects, and fire ants, while maintaining dense turf under heavy heat.
-
September – Ammonium Sulfate + Sulfate of Potash + Certainty + North Texas MicroPak + Podium + Specticle: Transition treatment — eliminates late-season sedges, regulates fall flush, and sets up a long-lasting pre-emergent barrier.
-
October – Specticle + Ammonium Sulfate + Sulfate of Potash + North Texas MicroPak + Podium + Humic Acid + Bifenthrin: Pre-emergent + growth-regulator combination keeps the lawn tight, green, and weed-free into dormancy while adding fire ant control for lasting protection.
-
Winter Application – Ammonium Sulfate + Humic Acid (Liquid) + Elemental Sulfur (Granular): Applied together on the final visit of the year, this treatment strengthens roots, improves nutrient efficiency, and gradually lowers soil pH in North Texas clay soils. Two separate applications (liquid fertility and granular sulfur) will appear as two line items on your invoice, applied the same day to prepare your lawn for winter and next spring’s green-up.
Product Legend
- Ammonium Sulfate (AMS): Fast-release nitrogen that slightly acidifies high-pH clay soils and deepens turf color.
- Sulfate of Potash (SOP): Premium potassium source that strengthens roots and improves drought and heat tolerance.
- North Texas MicroPak: Proprietary micronutrient blend with iron, manganese, and zinc to correct local soil deficiencies.
- Podium: Professional growth regulator that reduces mowing frequency and suppresses bluestem seed heads.
- Merit & Bifenthrin: Dual-action insect control for grubs, fire ants, and surface-feeding insects.
- Propiconazole / Azoxystrobin: Fungicide rotation for season-long disease prevention.
- Humic Acid: Improves soil biology, nutrient uptake, and overall turf resilience.
- Specticle: Long-lasting pre-emergent for weed prevention.
- Certainty: Selective sedge and grassy weed control.
- Elemental Sulfur: Granular soil amendment that slowly lowers pH and enhances nutrient uptake in alkaline soils.
Soil Testing Recommended
We recommend a professional soil test to determine if your lawn needs supplemental phosphorus (P). Most North Texas soils are high-pH clay and low in available phosphorus. Testing ensures balanced nutrition, stronger roots, and improved drought tolerance.
